Fifteen of the filmmakers have seen their films make the rounds of the international circuit, alternately disturbing and celebrating, pushing audiences to see what they see. On a budget of P30,000, each filmmaker will produce a short film that pictures their vision of the nation after 2010. The films will have their theater premiere in late February of 2010, three months before the national elections. For ten weeks after, ANC will air the short films in weekly prime time episodes, together with behind the scenes interviews with the filmmakers.

Five slots are open to aspiring filmmakers, to create their short films funded by ANC, to premiere with critically-acclaimed filmmakers and air on national television, with interviews on ANC’s various platforms.

To join, send your CV, your short film concept and link of reel toamBisyon2010@abs-cbnnews.com before December 7. Winners will be selected by a panel and announced on the first week of January.

Even further back: end of freshman year of college, June 2004. I can still hear the jackhammers pounding at the lobby of Sproul Hall, waking me up just in time for my 8am Econ 1 class. Nostalgia abounds.
